Hrithik Roshan and Dad Rakesh Roshan In Legal Trouble

Actor Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan have landed in a legal trouble. Former Congress President of Khandala area, Kiran Gaikwad, has claimed that the Roshans have usurped government land in Khandala. He filed an RTI (Right to Information) query as well.

Hrithik and father Rakesh Roshan purchased the land in the hill station in December 2016. Now, there are reports that their estate covers a portion of government land. This has caused legal issues for the father and son.

A report in Mumbai Mirror has revealed that the information came up recently when a query was raised under the RTI Act, regarding the plot owned by Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan. It turned out that the 15,000 sq mt land was purchased by the stars last year under the name of one of their companies, ‘Sunder Bhawar Holiday Homes Pvt Ltd.’, for over Rs 30 crore.

Both Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan weren't available and thus, their take on the whole happeing could not be taken. However, their land’s spokesperson Shakir Shaikh said that Sunder Bhawan has not indulged in any illegal activity. He divulged, “We completed the legal formalities and started building the compound wall.There has been no violation. If government plots were merged with ours, why didn’t the authority claim it? There was a mention of open space reservation but it belongs to our client.”
