Religious sentiments effects almost all spheres of the society. In fact, the field of creativity and art remained untouched. Recently, the censor board has asked the makers of Rajkummar Rao’s forthcoming film ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ to chop off some scenes of the film as they hurt ‘religious sentiments’.
Well, in few scenes of the film Rajkummar Rao is dressed up like Lord Shiva. A source informs, “Basically there is a shot where Rajkummar’s character disguised as Lord Shiva, falls off the bike. So censor board were of the opinion that you have shown Lord Shiva riding a bike, that’s fine but you can’t show him falling off it. So the director Ajay was told to chop that particular scene off, if they want the film to be passed hassle-free.”
No matter that the look, which was disguised as Lord Shiva, actually was of a local ‘natak’ but it couldn’t satisfy the censor board. They asked to chop off the scenes from the film for it bothered ‘religious sentiments’.
‘Behen Hogi Teri’ stars actress Shruti Haasan as the female lead. The film releases on May 26, 2017.
